"We had our amazing wedding day at Castle Dargan on 4th August this year, our dream was for the outside ceremony but unfortunately the Irish weather didn’t hold out for us so we had to move inside. They were so accommodating for this and made the Coach House just as beautiful. Taylor was the most helpful wedding coordinator on the days and weeks before and on the wedding day. She was always there to help with any question or worry that I had, she couldn’t have done more. The day overall was so beautiful and all my guests can’t stop talking about how amazing the venue was - not to mention the food 10/10! Would definitely recommend to anyone getting married."

"We had our wedding reception in Castle Dargan at the start of Sep 2023. Myself , my now husband and our son had a lovely day. In the build up to the wedding day the hotel accomadated a wedding tasting at the weekend to suit our work schedules which we appreciated. Our wedding contract and plan was clearly laid out and the hotel were flexible with our food requests and dietary requests for our guests.
On the day of the wedding our reception looked beautiful, the food came out hot and promptly with good portion sizes and taste. We went with beef and salmon for our mains and really enjoyed. We got a lot of compliments on the food from our guests. The function room overlooking the golf course really is pretty. Throughout the planning stage we had regular contact from Caroline, Jessica and our wedding coordinator Taylor. The waiting staff were polite and friendly which we appreciated especially with a big wedding . Our room was really pretty we stayed the night after so we could chill out. The staff were helpful in heating up a bottle of milk for my toddler its the small little things which we appreciated. The staff helped my family set up the cake , took reception signs, family picture the day before and displayed them beautifully at the reception there was no stress in the lead up which means a lot. The hotel held our flowers and gifts in a safe and chilled room until we were ready to leave again allowing us to relax and enjoy. We didn't have the weather to fully make use of the lovely grounds for pics but again Irish weather out of anyone's control. A big thank you for making our day special."

"We had our wedding at Castle Dargan in August, I can't describe in words how stunning and beautiful Castle Dargan and its grounds are, I felt like we were in a fairytale! Taylor our wedding coordinator was so amazing and so professional, she helped with anything we needed and answered our so many questions day and night. On the day of our wedding I got a glass of red wine spilled on my dress and Taylor sat on the floor and scrubbed my dress untill it was sparkly white again (I don't even know how she did it) but without her I don't know what I would have done that day! All the staff were amazing, the food was the nicest food I've ever had and every single guest complimented it. I can't recommend Castle Dargan and Taylor enough, very relaxed day thanks to them all."

"On the 5th of July 2024 was one of the most memorable days for me and my now husband, we travelled from Australia to get married in my home village continuing the celebration at our selected venue Castle Dargan. As you can expect it is difficult planning a wedding but planning a wedding from Australia was a different kind of challenge but thankfully with the help and constant communication from the Wedding corrordinater Taylor she made me at ease throughout and helped me with any concern I had for our big day.
The day went off without a hitch. We unfortunately couldn't get our pictures taken at the castle ruins due to the rain but as soon as we arrived they had the red carpet rolled out and ready for our early arrival, we mingled with our guests and noticed there was never a point anyone didn't have a drink in hand, the staff very attentive.
Once dinner arrived we noticed how well all the tables where being served and all our guests raved over how good the food was, hot on arrival, and well potioned.
Our day was everything we hoped for thanks to Taylor and all the staff at Castle Dargan for making it memorable."

We were especially delighted with how well our dinner service went, the food was amazing and everything ran on time. We got high praise after from all our guests about the food. We would like to give a special shout out to Taylor, Castle Dargan's wedding planner. She was absolutely amazing on the day, she kept everything running smoothly and anything I asked from her or some unexpected last minute changes in plans, Taylor was on it. No job was too much, she handled everything with a smile and got things done in an efficient and professional manner. I could not recommend her enough. We also all got on very well with her and found her a joy to work with throughout our wedding journey. The venue has about 24 rooms, we had 115 guests and I felt that this was a nice number for the venue."

"We recently held our wedding reception at Castle Dargan Estate & the venue completely exceeded our expectations. Taylor was our wedding co-ordinator & she was wonderful to deal with from day one - so warm, friendly, helpful & supportive - nothing was ever too much! She went above & beyond on the day making sure everything ran smoothly & she has incredible attention to detail - especially to all the little things most people would forget!
The grounds of Castle Dargan itself are absolutely stunning for photographs & they video so beautifully with views of the golf course, green areas & the original house. The food is exceptional and all our guests commented on how wonderful the venue was from taking in the fabulous views in the sunshine to enjoying the vast amount of food available.
We had an intimate wedding & one of the main reasons we picked Castle Dargan was because of the layout of the function room. We wanted all our guests to be together in the one space rather then drift off into different areas & it worked out perfectly for us on the day. A real hidden gem just a few minutes drive from Sligo town. The venue caters for all weddings big and small & we couldn't recommend the venue!

"We had our ceremony and reception at Castle Dargan and from start to finish is was flawless. Taylor was absolutely amazing and made our day stress free and so relaxing. She knew all the good spots to take us to on the stunning grounds to capture amazing photos of our special day. Caroline was also so accommodating in organising rooms for our guests, she really made that bit so easy for us. The staff were so lovely, one lovely gentleman went above and beyond for my son who had a little wobbler before I walked up the aisle and gave him a pocket full of sweets which put a smile from ear to ear on his face. This made my big moment stress free, thank you again for that! The food was absolutely amazing we could not fault it and everyone really enjoyed it, the tayto sandwiches were a real hit too! "Our wedding was organized and assisted by the amazing Taylor in Castle Dargan. There were intricacies in that my husband and I were currently living in New Zealand but this was never an issue for Taylor! With the help of my father and liasing with Taylor over skype everything was organized as per our requirements. The day was perfection and we lucked out with the weather and even got out on a thrilling golf cart ride!
Dinner and decorations were great and the duty manager was good at ensuring all of our needs were met! All our guests agreed they had a lovely time and it was a wonderful venue.
If you are looking for a wedding venue, then go no further, it is truly picturesque but the attention they spend to ensure you have a seamless day is amazing. From meeting Taylor when I landed in Ireland, to dinner tastings over looking the golf course at sunset, and then then wedding day itself. It was perfect."
